Why did I choose the school: “I’ve grown up in Denver. I love to go to the DU lacrosse and hockey games. My family would take me to look at the campus and my grandfather attended the University of Denver, which sparked my interest in the school. I began playing lacrosse there through the Denver Elite program and sometimes we would be coached by the coaches at DU. I immediately started to love the coaching staff and wanted to be a part of the program. Some of the DU lacrosse players would help with practice sometimes. It was clear they loved the school and coaches as much as I do. But, I was still unsure if I wanted to stay in state for college. After visiting several other schools, I realized that there is no other place like DU and that it was the school for me.”

Outlook for 2016 season: “At Valor Christian, the school and community have high expectations for the student athletes because we strive to succeed in bringing out the best in every athlete and putting forth our best effort. With coaches John Grant Jr. and John Gallant and athletes like Christian McCaffrey as an alumni, there is an atmosphere of pride, competitiveness and brotherhood like I have never experienced before. We are hoping to bring home a state title this year and continue to grow as a program.”

People to thank:
“God and my family. My brother Nick in particular because he spent many hours helping me grow as a player so I could be in this position. My coaches John Grant Jr. and John Gallant for believing in me and putting in a position where I can commit to play at the Division 1 level.”

Other schools considered: Syracuse, Ohio State, University of Delaware
