The TopLaxRecruits Preseason Western Boys’ Rankings:
1. Saint Ignatius Prep (CA) 18-1
Last year the Wildcats won the West Catholic Athletic League championship and made the National Top 5 in all polls with their win over Landon School. Despite losing various seniors committed to play college lacrosse, they have a host of returnees ready to make a run again for the league title and national rankings.
2. Cherry Creek (CO) 18-1
After the Bruins won the Colorado state big-school title last year, they return as a leading favorite with a talented group of returnees.
3. Regis Jesuit (CO) 16-3
The Raiders reached the big school state final last year and have an large amount of returnees.
4. Corner Canyon (UT) 21-1
The Chargers won the Utah state title and will again be a lading favorite.
5. Torrey Pines (CA) 14-8
The Falcons were runner up to the CIF San Diego title last year. They have a strong amount of returnees, including an experienced goalie.
6. San Ramon Valley (CA) 13-2
The Wolves won the North Coast CIF 1 title and looking to for another title despite a youthful team.
7. St Margarets Episcopal (CA) 21-3
The Tartans won the Orange County championship and eager for their chance to claim the championship again.
8. Bellevue (WA) 18-1
Despite being the runner-up to the Washington State Division I title in a close game, the Wolverines are hungry for the state title this year.
9. Mountain Vista (CO) 16-2
The Golden Eagles reached the big school state semifinals and have plenty of senior and junior talent. They must overcome the loss of their popular coach, Jake Herman, who passed away last month.
10. Poway (CA) 17-6
After claiming the San Diego CIF title, The Titans return with many veteran players.
Under consideration: Arapahoe (CO) 10-6; Mercer Island (WA) 22-1; Corona Del Mar (CA) 18-1; Foothill-Santa Ana (CA) 20-2; Brighton (UT) 15-3; Coronado Red (NV) 17-2; Desert Vista (AZ) 17-1; Grandview (CO) 12-4; Issaquah (WA) 18-4; J Serra Catholic (CA) 15-5; Kent Denver (CO) 12-6; La Costa Canyon (CA) 14-9; Lakeridge (OR) 19-5; Palo Verde (NV) 15-9; Park City (UT) 21-2; Rock Canyon (CO) 13-4; Valor Christian (CO) 18-1; West Linn (OR) 18-4.
