Why did you choose Whittier? “The school is giving me a very helpful Academic Merit Scholarship which is helping my family a ton. I also love the location, the size, the coaching, and the atmosphere within the campus around it.”

HS team’s outlook for 2016 season? “Grandview lacrosse got a preseason ranking of 10th in the state of Colorado, and we are trying to prove that we should be a powerhouse team this year. We have a very strong senior class and are hoping to capitalize against the best teams in the state. We will surpass last year and hopefully make it past the first round of playoffs.”

The Golden Eagles toppled Cherry Creek, 14-8, and host Chaparral Friday.

3. Corona Del Mar (CA) 13-1
The Sea Kings handled Huntington Beach, 16-3.

4. Cherry Creek (CO) 6-2
The Bruins defeated Regis Jesuit, 6-5, in OT but then fell to Mountain Vista, 14-8.

The Wildcats play Bellarmine Prep today.
