NXTsports is proud to release the schedule for the Showcase Lacrosse Philly Summer Invitational, taking place Saturday and Sunday at both United Sports and Downingtown High School in Downingtown, PA. The Philly Summer Invitational has been sold out for months, and features 108 elite club lacrosse teams from states across the country.
The Summer Invitational is for teams featuring players in the high school graduating classes of 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019. The championship-style format will be capped with playoffs all held at United Sports on Sunday. All-Star Games for classes of 2016, 2017 and 2018-19 will be held Saturday night at United Sports.
Said Brett Manney, Director of NXTsports’ Showcase Lacrosse division, “The tournament is only in its third year and I think that (its success and popularity) is related to the dedication of the clubs coming and type of teams that continue to come back.
“We have a big waiting list of teams that want to get in. The field is diversified with really good clubs from across the country. Sometimes, it’s the only times colleges see kids play from not only the Mid-Atlantic teams, but the South, Midwest and West. This tournament has it all; whether they are looking at a 2016 or looking on whose going to be one of the top 2019s in the country. No matter what you are looking for, this tournament has it.”
