The TopLaxRecruits.com Western Rankings:
Boys
1. Santa Ana, Foothill (CA) 10-0
The Knights have sprinted out to #1 in our ranking, winning their first ten games of the season. The scary thing is – other than 10-7 victory over La Costa Canyon, the games haven’t been very close. Look for the Knights to have a tough matchup with J Serra Catholic, another undefeated team, on April 2nd.
2. Saint Ignatius Prep (CA) 7-0
Led by seniors Ben Knaus and Pete Aliman, the wildcats have gotten off to a 7-0 start, including big wins over San Ramon Valley (13-11) and Highland Park, TX (9-6). They will battle De LaSalle today before they head east for a two-game trip.
3. Cherry Creek (CO) 4-0
The Bruins have dominated competition, including a 17-2 rout over Cherokee Trail. They will have a big trip to The Garden State to battle NJ-powers Bergen Catholic and Summit, on April 2nd and April 4th respectively
4. Regis Jesuit (CO) 3-1
After dropping a heartbreaker to Arapahoe (8-7), The Raiders responded well, with big wins over Mountain Vista (10-9) and Mullen (13-5). They will travel west to play Torrey Pines, CA today.
5. Mountain Vista (CO) 4-1
Jake Herman and the Golden Eagles have proved to be dominant so far this year, winning four of their five games by at least twelve goals. They look forward to bounce back from a one-goal loss to Regis Jesuit, with games against Mullen and La Costa Canyon.
6. Arapahoe (CO) 5-1
Besides a 12-10 loss to Coronado, the Warriors have looked good so far, with big victories over La Costa Canyon (8-7) and Regis Jesuit (8-7). They play Heritage before a big game against Kent Denver.
7. J Serra Catholic (CA) 6-0
The Lions look to add on to their resume after a big 12-11 victory over Cathedral Catholic. They will have a tough stretch of games facing Santa Margarita Catholic, Foothill-Santa Ana, St Margarets Episcopal, and Palos Verdes in the next eight days.
8. Corner Canyon (UT) 9-0
The Chargers have proved to be the dominant team in Utah, winning their first nine games of the season, including a 12-8 victory over Palo Verde. They will face unbeaten Park City on April 1st, which will show who is the best team in Utah.
9. San Ramon Valley (CA) 7-1
Besides a 13-11 loss to Saint Ignatius Prep to open the season, the Wolves have rattled off seven straight, including a 8-6 win over Bellarmine Prep. They will have a long break until they battle St Margaret’s Episcopal on April 10th.
10. Coronado (CA) 3-2
The Islanders have made a few statement wins in the early weeks of the season, including victories over Torrey Pines (13-10) and Arapahoe (12-10). They will travel east to face St Stephen/St Agnes and Landon, two of the more dominant teams in the DC area.

Girls
1. San Ramon Valley (CA) 10-0
Led by UC Davis bound senior Taylor Cuenin, The Wolves have sprinted out to a 10-0 record, with big wins over Novato (10-6) and California HS (10-8). They will travel to face Oak Park, CA in a test of two undefeated teams.
2. Saint Ignatius Prep (CA) 5-1
The Lady Wildcats beat Colorado Academy (11-10 OT) and Monte Vista-Danville (9-8 2OT), before falling to DC-area powerhouse St. Stephen’s & Agnes (18-9). Catriona Barry (Duke) and Emma Knaus (Stanford) have proven to be the leaders of the team. They will play Loyola Academy, IL on April 9th.
3. Cherry Creek (CO) 6-0
Due to stellar play by goalie Sara Mcguire, The Bruins have been off to a spectacular start, winning the first six games of their season. They will face Grandview on April 8th.
4 Monte Vista-Danville (CA) 8-1
The Lady Mustangs bounced back from a 9-8 double-overtime loss to #2 Saint Ignatius Prep with big wins over Centarus (15-4) and Foothill, Pleasanton (13-5). They will host Menlo School, who beat former #1 Amador Valley earlier this season.
5. Lake Oswego (OR) 1-0.
This week will be a big week for the Lakers, as they plan to battle Menlo School, on Friday. They will face Amador Valley, former #1 in our rankings, on Saturday.
6. Novato (CA) 9-1
After losing their opener to #1 San Ramon Valley (10-6), the Hornets reeled off nine straight victories, including wings over Granite bay HS (18-10) and Kinkaid School (TX) by the score of 20-8. Looking forward, the Hornets have a few big games including a battle against the Menlo School, as well as Saint Ignatius Prep on April 23rd.
7. Carondelet (CA) 4-3
The Cougars have been hot the past few days, compiling a couple victories, including a 10-8 overtime victory over Colorado Academy (CO).
8. West Linn (OR) 2-0
The Lions host Jesuit, OR, today.
9. Oak Park (CA) 9-0
The Eagles are only in their fifth year; they have a big game today with Redondo Union.
10. California HS (CA) 8-3
The Grizzlies have a couple big wins, including a 2OT win over Amador Valley (10-9). A loss to Granite Bay HS (11-9) stung, but they have bounced back and have shown glimpses of greatness. Looking into the future, they have their calendars marked for April 17th, where they will travel to Monte Vista, Danville to play the Mustangs.
